Medical Assistant - Triage

Location: Greensboro, North Carolina

Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant - Triage to join a vibrant healthcare team in North Carolina. This role is ideal for a compassionate individual with a strong commitment to patient care and efficiency in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities:

Summary:

The Triage Medical Assistant supports providers by performing clinical and administrative duties with a focus on patient triage, care coordination, and efficient patient flow under the direction of a physician or Clinical Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient intake, including chief complaints and medical history documentation in the EMR.
  • Perform telephone triage, route messages, and communicate with patients, providers, and pharmacies.
  • Prepare exam rooms and ensure all labs, reports, and patient information are available prior to visits.
  • Maintain clean, stocked, and compliant exam rooms; follow infection control and safety protocols.
  • Manage logs (e.g., temperatures, medications, equipment checks) and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Support scheduling, documentation, and medical record accuracy while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • CMA or LPN certification preferred.
  • Strong triage, clinical, and patient care skills.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Proficient in EMR systems and standard clinical procedures.

Education Requirements:

Associates in Medical Assisting required.

Work Environment:

Primary care office setting; full-time, in-person role.

Work Hours:

Monday through Friday, first shift.

Compensation:

Pay ranges from $17 to $20 per hour.
